Concurso Estatal
Determining Finalists for the Concurso Estatal

As you complete administration of the National Spanish Exam (which must
be completed by April 10th), it is time to determine finalists for the Concurso
Estatal.  The procedure to determine which students qualify as finalists for
the Concurso Estatal in Minnesota is new this year - but the good news is
that you will immediately be able to announce which of your students are
finalists and begin to make plans for the Concurso Estatal.

Here is the procedure:

* Once your students finish the exam, log in and print out all student scores.

* Any student who scores 280 or higher is a finalist.

* In the case of a school not having a student scoring 280 or higher in a given
level, the student in that level with the highest score is a finalist.

* Send your lists of finalists for each level to Sean Dwyer by e-mail or by fax
at 320-363-3513 (marking it clearly Attn: Sean Dwyer).
